Nestled within the historic charm of Odesa’s downtown, Shalom, restaurant project by @alexcooperua, beckons with the essence of Israeli urban cafe culture and a global love for diverse culinary experiences. Housed on the first high floor of a cherished historic building, this establishment unfolds over two levels, seamlessly integrating reclaimed materials and bespoke craftsmanship to create a captivating and inviting ambiance.

IDEA

“Israeli Urban Cafe with Love for the World” serves as the guiding philosophy for Shalom. The design concept gracefully evolves as guests traverse the space, from the energetic city cafe vibe at the entrance to the stylish and traditional restaurant setting in the middle, culminating in a serene and light-filled terrace. This culinary journey is anchored by a central, expansive round bar adorned with 18 exquisite chandeliers.

DESIGN

Images capture the multifaceted charm of Shalom. The gradient flow of the main space is evident, guiding guests through distinct atmospheres. The entrance exudes an urban cafe ambiance, leading seamlessly to a traditional and stylish restaurant setting. Finally, the journey concludes in a cozy, light-filled terrace, providing a tranquil escape in the heart of the bustling city.

 

Urban Cafe Entrance – The dynamic city cafe vibe welcomes guests at the beginning. 

Cozy Light-Filled Terrace – A tranquil escape, flooded with natural light, awaits at the end of the journey.

Reclaimed materials take center stage in the interior design, embodying the spirit of sustainability and authenticity. Cabinets and decor, meticulously crafted by the renowned Lviv-based workshop, Restare, add bespoke touches that elevate the dining experience.

Unique Features

The heart of Shalom is the monumental round bar, adorned with 18 chandeliers, creating a captivating visual centerpiece. This central hub not only serves as a focal point but also encourages social interactions, making it the soul of the dining experience.
